    B: banana
L: mushroom soup, carrots, cherry tomatoes, pineapple
D: TJ italian sausage, leftover brown rice pasta with Italian dressing, salad, honey oat bar with peanut butter

I tend to pig out when I get home because I'm gone from 7-4 all day and I'm starving by the time I get home.

I think I had a pretty good day today. I was getting a little freaked out with the calorie counting---I had packed a balanced lunch/snacks etc. up to my calorie limit, but then was extra-hungry and wound up eating some cookies. I realized it is probably healthier in hindsight to have a few extra calories of healthy stuff than to stick to an arbitrary limit, be hungry and pig out on cookies So I dug out my old Weight Watchers materials and am going to follow the core plan where you eat healthy stuff and don't need to count points I was extra-hungry again today and just went with it, making better choices

Breakfast: oatmeal with applesauce, cold glass of chocolate soy milk
    Snack: raspberries
Lunch: lentil soup with handful of frozen butternut squash, fruit salad
    Snack: trail mix, 2 clementines
Dinner: rice noodles with chickpeas and spinach, banana
Snack: measured serving of granola, hot glass of chocolate soy milk

To the person upthread who thought that I wasn't eating enough, does this look better? I do still have ten pounds to lose, but I am trying to do it in a healthy, balanced way

I blog about cooking, fitness, French teaching and digital media. See my profile for links.

Having a mostly raw day today and my cold feels slightly better already! I had been eating junk at night and getting quite bloated, depressed and spotty so I'm hoping to have a few days raw/mostly raw to pick myself up a bit

B: Green smoothie - 1 banana, few handfuls of spinach, pineapple, water.
L: Green smoothie - half a banana, 2 handfuls spinach, pineapple, bit of avocado, small spoon of pinenuts, water. And a bowl of fruit salad - half a banana, grapes, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, pineapple, half an avocado (minus the few bits I put in the smoothie).
S: Banana bread flavour nakd bar.
D: Made a dip by blending 3 brazil nuts, some raw red pepper and about 1/4 cup of (cooked) chickpeas. With raw fruit/veg: carrot sticks, cucumber, yellow pepper, half an apple, broccoli.
    S: Fruit salad.

..... I kinda ruined it all cos my dad offered to begin in chinese food and I got some mushroom fried rice, then ate popcorn too. But I still feel quite good

B: Green smoothie (loads of spinach, flax, 1 banana, and some pineapple and grapes)
L: Mushroom/pepper/onion fajitas with lettuce, salsa and guacamole at a restaurant.
D: Thrown together when I got home late: Vegetable curry (broccoli, onion, carrot, tinned sweetcorn + chickpeas) with 4 rice cakes + 3 crackers.

Wasn't too bad, but the fajita vegetables were super oily!! Also not much raw fruit and veg so I will try to include more of that tomorrow to help my cold/flu thing.
