I just want to put my 2 cents in since this is a long thread. I just bought the diva cup last month before my period and I love it. I thought it would be gross to look at the blood coming out of me but it wasn't. It was really easy getting used to putting the diva inside and taking it out. And being able to put it in boiling water for an hour is great. Thank you guys for all your input on what you think about this product. It makes me fell good that am not sticking chemicals inside me, helping out by not creating waste for the environment, and saving some moolah.
It only takes a few minutes of boiling to properly sterilize the cup by my standards. If you boil it for an hour, I dunno! It might boil all the water away and then leave the cup unusable, which is what happened to me when I put it on the stove and forgot about it.
