Vegan Chickenless Nuggets or Vegan Bacon?

Does anyone know if a vegan version of Chickenless Nuggest exists? Every box I've looked at has eggs in the mix (doesn't sound chickenless to me).

And does anyone know if a vegan version of veggie bacon exists? Before I decided to go vegan I used to eat Morning Star farms veggie bacon but they put egg whites in everything.

I've had vegan chicken nuggets from Whole Foods but I can't remember the brand (I should write that stuff down, darnit, this isn't the first time I'm giving crappy advice due to my bad memory). I never used to eat bacon and won't now so I can't help you with that. At least now you know vegan chicken nuggest do exist in more than one place.

I second the recommendation. Smart Bacon rocks. LightLife brand, white and red box like pig bacon comes in, only probably not in the same place in the store.

For nuggets you could get White Wave chicken-style seitan and bread it yourself.

According to Boca's website, their "chicken" nuggets are vegan.

I tried that and found it extremely hard to bread. It wouldn't stick to the seitan but it would stick to my fingers. Maybe I did it wrong

I went through a spell where I was eating Health Is Wealth's nuggets ALL THE TIME. I loved them.

Personally, I think SmartBacon bears NO resemblance (either in taste, texture, appearance) to real bacon. I wouldn't buy it. Even though it's not "bacon-like", I had a Tempeh bacon once and I would choose THAT to make my "BLT's" with.

SmartBacon has a mystery meat flavor to it. It tases more bacon-like when you cook it and put it on a BLT. However I've replaced it with Yves veggie salami for my mystery meat needs.

I've never tried SmartBacon fried - I microwave it for four minutes in a vertical tray. Comes out crisp
