    Looking for a consumer guide

I'm new to veganism and have not yet explored all the websites and info out there so I wanted to see if you guys can recommend a consumer guide. I'm looking for something that perhaps lists brand names products that are vegan, or companies, or stores in which vegan items can be found. I'm not sure exactly what I want or whether it exists? Recommendations? Starting points?

And the number one best reason to be vegan: as much raw cookie dough as you please!

The UK vegan society sell a 'shoppers guide' book - I'm not sure how much of that would be relevant in the US.

There are zillions of sites! watch this space

There are links on this site to Veg*n places - up the top of the front page last time I saw them !

I have a question...Does anyone have the 2003 PETA guide? I was curious about it. I am in the know of vegan companies and products but was curious about it.

AAVS.org has a free guide to cruelty free companies and also marks which ones are vegan.
