i have tried avocados, and i am not convinced i like them. all the fat even tho it is good fat makes me crazy esp. since it is not something i am sure i like. i have given it to my kids who ate it cubed with no enthusiasm or lackthereof. but, if i buy a whole one, they certainly dont eat it all before it goes brown.

beth--pudding????? recipe???? please!!! and anyone else with how thei kids like it--PM me so the thread is not about ME!!!

    my son age 15 months
most fruits, apples, bananas, pears, pineapple, cantaloupe, grapes
veggies are harder, he loves sweet potatoes and squash and will pound down veggie booty (kale spinach broccoli carrots etc on lttle corn puffs), most other veg he will eat if their in soup or some other medley type of deal. he'll eat avocado if it's in something but not by itself. same withy spinach and some of the other greens. never plain, but in a soup maybe so...

I am desperate. Hanna used to eat everything as a baby and now, at 4 and since toddler age (that would make approx 2 years now), restricts herself to cucumber, apple and potatoes. I have tried every trick imaginable. I just hope she'll grow out of it. She's getting vitamin and mineral supplements... and will accept the occasional spoonful of fresh veggie soup, but that's about it. I am very jealous when I read the lists you all post... !

I been trying so hard to make my kid eat veggies but he just won't so the other day I was looking for kid recipes that have vegetables and I was quite impressed with the free recipes site I found

One meal I gave to my kid and didn't complained at all is :

    Spinach and Ricotta Pizza Dough

1 cup fresh spinach, leaves lightly steamed
    1 cup ricotta cheese
    1 egg
    4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) olive oil
    2 packages dry yeast
    2 teaspoons light brown sugar
    3/4 cup warm water

Dissolve the yeast in the warm water and stir in the light brown sugar. Set the yeast mixture aside for at least 5 minutes.Meanwhile, put the ricotta cheese and the spinach leaves in a blender and blend at high speed until you have a smooth, bright green mixture.
Sift the flour into a bowl with the salt. Make a depression in the center of the flour and add 3 tablespoons of the oil, the egg, the spinach mixture and the yeast mixture. Put flour on the kneading board and place the dough mixture on the flour. Knead the mixture for 8 to 10 minutes until the dough is uniformly mixed and elastic. Add flour as you knead if necessary to keep the dough from becoming too sticky. When the dough is ready, place it in a
clean bowl that has been brushed with oil. Brush the top of the dough with oil and place a clean cloth over the bowl. Put the bowl in a warm, draft-free place for 11/2 hours.
This recipe will make:2 thin crust pizzas, 12-inches each2 stuffed pizza pockets1 thick crust pizza, 14-inch6 - 6-inch pizzas

    Good luck with your kids!

My sons name is Kairan! Anyway, he'll be three in March and it's tough to get him eating!

He likes apples, pears, peaches, all berries (except blueberries), all melon, banana's, potatoes, cooked broccoli, cooked carrots, peas, corn.

My daughter is 18 months, and she started liking avacado but not so much now, banana, cranberries, raisons (both of which my son despises), cooked carrots, peas and corn. Not to mention apples and all berries, most fruit really. And of course potatoes.

While she likes the raisons and cranberries, my son likes dried banana chips and dried apple slices. So I carry those around with some dried cereal and softer nuts in a ziplock baggy, they each have their own.

    Hayley (5 years)
Carrots (cooked or raw, mostly raw though)
    corn kernels
    potato (mashed or baked)

    apples
    bananas
    pears
    grapes
    water melon
    canteloup (sp)
    strawberries
    kiwi fruit
    lemons

    Skye (2 years)
    peas
    corn kernels
    carrots
    cauliflower
(she likes eating frozen veggies too)

    same fruit as Hayley.

The girls like just about any fruit, though they're not huge fans of citrus fruits.

My son, Nathan is only 4 months so isn't on solids yet.
