does anyone NOT vaccinate or has anyone

successfully found a peditrician that has thermasol free vaccines?

I was ignorant to all the facts when I had Baylor vaccinated during his first year. I've since learned a lot and am NOT comfortable continuing his vaccines so I'm just curious as to others stories. He is due and we have a doc appt. tomorrow. I know she uses mass vaccines so they are NOT thermasol free- so I'm just getting prepared to explain to her why we're not going to be pumping him full of mercury just yet!

Yikes! So thermasol is mercury? It sounds really scary that he's not getting his vaccines. If they are giving these to all kids his age, wouldn't it have some measure of safety (ie-the thermosal has less known effects than the diseases they are vaccinating against)? Is there an alternative you could get by switching to another doctor or having your doctor special order something? I hope someone with experience in this area has some good advice to share with you. Having a child who isn't vaccinated doesn't sounds like a good idea.

my son was vaccinated his first year, because i didn't know the risks associated with vaccines. he's seven now and hasn't had any since then. my daughter is three and she's had none. we are thinking now that they are bigger we will start doing some selective vaccinating. i'm not super keen on the animal products/testing that are a direct result of the vaccinations offered, but i can't help but think how AWFUL i would feel if my kids ended up contracting something painful/disabling/fatal because i decided to not vaccinate them. we definitely didn't want to expose our small kids to the vaccines and talked about it at length, did lots of research, and decided that kids age 3 and up have developed enough of their own immune system to handle anything a vaccine can throw at them (as long as they are mercury-free!).
Let go of my ears; I know what I'm doing.

**Yah, I may wait until he's 3 and has produced his blood/brain barriers to resist the negative affects of the vaccines. Thanks for your experiances!

We did not vaccinate our son either. He's 2.5 now. He's a very healthy kid. We always said we'd re-evaluate the vaccine situation when he was ready for preschool.

Just curious. Do you not have to produce proof of vaccination when your child enrols in school? I know this was a problem for my nephew when he tried to enrol his son.

I'm still in the process of researching vaccines, and for now we are selectively vaccinating. At my daughters 15 month appt, they said- "Ok today she is getting chicken pox vac and her first dose of MMR", they didn't even act like it was optional. I refused both because my daughter had just gotten over the chicken pox, and I've decided against MMR.

It's sad that alot of people don't realize they have a choice!

I thought this was true as well. I remember them sending threatening letters when my sister didn't get her boosters by the due date.

I had the same experience. Perhaps not everywhere is like that?
