    Does soy milk taste good?

I have heard from some of my closest friends say that it tastes really bad. I know everyones going to say try it yourself and then make the desision to buy it or not but I just want an opinion from a vegan who knows. Will i ever get used to it?

Depends on the person. I personally hate plain soymilk, but flavored soymilk is really good.

I love the stuff....I started out with vanilla soymilk, and in about two weeks, I was drinking plain soymilk. It wasn't a big adjustment for me, and I even prefer it over dairy milk. (That's a big deal coming from me--I used to drink about a half-gallon or more of milk daily.)
People make you nervous, you think the world is ending, and everybody's features have somehow started blending and everything is plastic and everyone's saracastic and all your food is frozen and needs to be defrosted. You'd think the world was ending, you'd think the world was ending right now.

Well, maybe you should just drink less coffee and never watch the 10 o'clock news.

I'm not a vegan, am I allowed to give my opinion? :-\

I have never drank soy milk straight. I am afraid to. Some people love it, some people hate it. However, I DO use soy milk and rice milk IN stuff. For example, I have found unsweetened soy milk is a great substitute in cream/rose sauces, regular soy milk works well in baking, and vanilla soy milk is nice in my smoothies. I don't even notice a difference when I have cereal with rice milk on it (rice dream). You probably don't want to plan on chugging it right away, but you can work it into other dairy based foods without much of a noticeable difference.

I don't really like soymilk. The only one I've had that I liked I don't even remember what it was offhand... it was "Lite" soymilk though. The regular is too thick to drink straight up, but I do like it in smoothies. I use Original Enriched Rice Dream as my everyday ~milk.

I don't drink it straight, but I love it in coffee or over cereal and I cook with it.

I had to adjust to it, but now I love it. ^_^

I started out with chocolate soymilk, and then tried vanilla, and I use vanilla for cereal, plain for cooking, and I drink chocolate.

A lot of people enjoy chocolate Silk, maybe you could try it out. There are small bottles for sale at most grocery stores. ^_^

I don't like to drink it. The boys will only drink it with syrup in it, like strawberry or chocolate. But it's fine for cereal and works great in baking!

I'm not vegan, but I love soymilk--it's much better than cow's milk, IMO. It does take some time to adjust to it. If you want to try it, start with the chocolate, then ease up to vanilla, then try the plain. Don't expect it to taste like cow's milk or you will be disappointed! There are lots of brands out there to try and there are small variations in flavor between each, so you might need to try a few different kinds before you find one you like.

The plain soymilk is OK... I don't like it *all* that much but it isn't bad. However, the chocolate one is sooo good! And the vanilla is good too ; )
