    I'm having an operation and the whole house is sick!

    Tuesday I'm scheduled for an operation and the whole house just came down with strep throat. I'm feeling a little fluey right now. Will they still go forward the operation if I'm sick? What if I don't have a fever but just feeling ill?

    I think it probably depends on the surgery and how sick you are. Obviously doctors operate on sick people all the time (hooo boy you shoulda seen me when they took out my burst appendix!!), but it depends on how urgent the situation and how sick the person. If you're too anxious about it to wait til Monday to call, could you leave a message with the answering service this weekend and have a doctor or nurse call you back?
