What does "moderation" mean to you?

    Hi there,

I have received lot's of great advice since I tried the 30-day vegan challenge back in May. Some of you had written soy products (as in processed ones, not miso, edamame, etc) eaten in moderation. I do like Eart Balance, veggie deli slices, Vegenaise and veggie burgers once in awhile (maybe 1-2 a week). Is that considered moderation?

    TIA!

    Pam

Pam, I would consider a couple of servings a week to be moderation. I think the key here is to avoid having processed soy every day, and to instead use whole foods like beans

    I think it depends.
Soy in moderation I'd try to keep it to a serving a day instead of a serving a meal.
Sugar dessert in moderation, I'd say only a few times a week, and not every day.

It means not eating the entire carton of coconut milk chocolate chip Soy Decadence ice cream in one day. Not that I would know anything about such a thing....

I have no idea what you're talking about.....

God's original plan was to hang out in a garden with some naked vegetarians.

And I wouldn't know anything about eating an entire pan of brownies right out of the oven.

Life is worth living when you're on your bike and a breeze from the river lifts your skirt over your legs, and flower petals blow down and get stuck in your hair when you go by the graveyard.
