New to the boards and striving for Veganism

Since introducing myself was an option, I thought I'd take it. I want to just take the vegan plunge, because something has got to give. I have been "transitioning" for way too long. I eat fish occasionally and still have some dairy and egg ingredients. I feel a pang of guilt every time I indulge and just need the push to take it over the top. I stopped eating all land animals about a year and a half ago and red meat left my plate about 14 years ago (beef trickled back in for about two years after my daughter was born). I do care. About the environment, my health and my family's health. My husband and children all eat meat and I really want to take a stand (at least for the daughter that lives with us). I am hoping this place will help. I love to cook and my husband is supportive and tries all of my meatless concoctions. Here's to posting.

Welcome to VeggieBoards and good luck with your transition! I know it's tough when you care so much but still struggle to make the switch. VB definitely helped me with providing support.
