    Vegan Acne Treatment

Does anyone know any good skincare products for acne that are vegan, or at least not tested on animals? Usually I have pretty clear skin and pretty good luck with Alba products but this semester I've been broken out like crazy, mostly around my hairline.

Preferably something that isn't *really* expensive.

Try tea tree oil: dilute it in a neutral oil like aloe vera (or buy oil that has already been thinned) and apply directly to blemished skin. It's anti-bacterial and will make your spots heal more quickly. So it works especially well if your have "mild" acne or just with periods.

Rose hip oil (Kosmea brand is what I use) is amazing. It seems weird to think of putting oil on acne, but it really soothes my skin and helps balance things so that my skin doesn't go into "Aaah! Dryness! Pump out more oil!" mode.

as a medication, it'll be animal tested. i don't see anything particularly meaty looking in the gel ingredients, the cream might be another matter- looks like it has squalene in it which is a bit suss.

I'd look into your hair products first of all or your stress level and caffeine consumption?

    Thanks everyone!

I have considered that it's my shampoo/conditioner, but I just try to rinse really well so there's no buildup on my hairline. I have about two cups of tea a day, sometimes three. stress varies, of course. I try to manage it by working out but I do get stressed quite easily.
