Does anyone know how healthy Luna Bars are? I like to have them once in a while, but don't want to keep eating them if they're unhealthy.
Thanks!

If you eat them once in awhile they are ok. Better than a ton of other "snacky" foods. They are processed and packaged and there are a lot of healthier options. But in moderation they are fine.
I eat a Clif Bar for lunch everyday. I know it's bad but I dont have time to eat properly. Better than nothing.
Oh, sorry, are you eating these as a meal or snack?
I only eat them as a meal, when I want something differentIt says they're packed with vitamins, but I was still concerned as to whether or not they're really healthy.
Well, whole foods are always going to be healthier than processed. However, for a snack bar, Luna bars are one of the better options out there. They have protein, fiber, and a good amount of vitamins/minerals- varies with the flavors though. I think they're fine on occasion. If your entire diet was made up of Luna Bars though, then we'd have a problem![]()

Haha, yeah, I don't think I'd be able to survive doing something like that.
They're so convenient, and I think they actually might be vegan too...my Mom tried a SoyJoy bar once but I remember reading they're actually a bit unhealthy, and not vegan.
If you go to the Luna Bar website, I do believe that they are vegan, but I could be wrong. I like them as a snack, when I can find the flavors I like (I absolutely hate nuts, yet I love peanut butter).

"Then it's there."
I think you're better off eating Lara Bars as a "for something different" meal, but that's just me. Better still would be eating real foods, but that's another thread.
I don't think they're that healthy at all. Not unless you're ok with ingredients like organic palm kernal oil, vegetable glycerin, inulin (chickory extract) or soy protein isolate. That said, they're great for times when real food isn't available or when it'll be quite a while before the next meal and you need a tide-me-over but imo, I wouldn't rely on them for more than that. And yes, they're full of vitamins but it's the refined, and processed vitamins, not the ones that occur naturally in real foods.
