    Here's a protein smoothie i make every now and then, this assumes you're ok with eggs & dairy

    1 scoop protein powder (22 grams)
    1 cup soy milk (9 grams)
    1/2 to 1 cup of egg whites (14-28 grams)
    1 yogurt container (2-3 grams)
    1 cup of berries of choice
    1/2 avocado

    I find I have the most energy and weigh the least when I eat mainly whole steamed veggies, some grains, and a little nuts. Supposedly, I should get about 40 grams a day for my weight (I'm short), and I find it difficult to not get enough (I'm vegan). Essentially, you could eat only broccoli all day and still get enough protein.

    Have you ever heard of someone dying, or honestly getting sick from lack of protein?

    According to the other poster, I should be getting close to 55 grams of protein a day. I only get 45 or so. Is that ok?
