It is sometimes the only option, like when you are on the road. My former sister-in-law worked for BK and said its SOP to nuke them. Better than fried in beef grease but not gourmet for sure.

Usually gas stations/food marts have bananas, apples, and oranges. Get some nutrition in you!

I don't know where you live, but the gas stations and such around here do not have fruit. And besides, we're all allowed to be a little bit unhealthy every now and then. Sometimes some greasy fast food is what I crave, and nothing else will make me happy. At least there are some veggie options out there.

They definitely microwave them here so they are totally meat juice free, Canadians are rather insistent about that kind of thing apparently.

As far as I can recall they are about as bad as the BK meat burgers used to be. It's fast food and that's about fast food quality. I only get one if I'm absolutely desperate or I am feeling nostalgic for junk.

If I get a veggieburger at BK, it's because I'm actually craving french fries. But since french fries by themselves aren't a whole meal, I get the veggieburger, too.

This is true at the BK where my son works. They nuke the veggie burger, though since it isn't vegan, I will never have one. I do like the salad with the cranberries and walnuts though.

I wish that was true! On my drive in Sept from New Jersey to Washington state, only two gas stations had any fruit/veg options out of the numerous ones we stopped at for gas. I kept apples and stuff in my trunk, but sometimes I just wanted to run in and get something rather than dig through the trunk, and there would be nothing except some nuts that I could eat. I was rather surprised.

I had BK's veggieburger a few times before going vegan and I thought it was ok. Nothing to write home about, but not the worst meal I've ever had.

Also, when I've gotten it, the only put one lettuce and mayo on top. I ask for all the normal burger toppings, including cheese, but they usually muck it up somehow, even if I've paid a few cents extra for the cheese.

I hate BK's veggie burgers (and, honestly, I don't particularly like most veggie burgers of that particular type, but the way BK makes them makes them even nastier...kind of mushy and, well...gross). Thankfully, they're definitely not the norm.

I enjoyed a veggie burger at Fuddruckers. A little higher end fast food. Just a little...
