My weigh-in day and I am still the same 123 I have been forever (it seems)! My body is clinging to this weight for some reason. I have to cut back on the portions some more and eliminate the sweets entirely I guess. Oh well, at least I am not gaining!

Welcome to the group, Kiseki! I think you actually need to eat MORE if that list is accurate. More fruits and veggies for sure. You can track your food on sparkpeople or fitday to see your calorie and nutrition numbers. That list looks really really low to me. Your body will think it is starving and hold onto weight if you restrict your food intake too much. Good luck!

Load up your fridge with your favorite fruits. You'll be sure you resort to those!
I tend to overdo it with my fruit intake, and to the extent where I think I do exceed my daily calories or something!

Just keep on going chryssiie718, the weight will start to come off. Plateaus suck but eventually you get past them.

good job rockindancer! What did you do?

Welcome Kiseki! Definitely get more fruits and veggies in your diet. If you want some good calories through some beans in too.

So I have been battling the sickness that is going around my house and my work. I didn't work out yesterday because I thought for sure if I pushed myself I would wake up sick. Today I am going to do some yoga and then tomorrow if I am fine get back to my regularly scheduled workouts. My throat isn't sore but feels funky so I know my body is fighting off something. For now I am loading up on vitmain c and fruits and veggies.

Kiseki, that doesn't sound like enough to me! You might wanna try some more snacks throughout the day since you don't have time for a proper lunch. Like, pack a salad to eat at some point, or a cup of soup or noodles, that sort of thing.

I hope you feel better soon!

I did 15 minutes on the eliptical, about 15 minutes of stretching, ten minutes of free weights and 20 minutes of weight machines. Next time I'll do a little more cardio, probably. I luvz me some weight machines, though! Whenever I'm going to a gym frequently I'm nearly always the only girl using them... but I love it! I wanna be STRONG. (ripped?)

It was the oddest thing! When I was a gym regular in the recent past, I had skipped maybe two days and just felt AWFUL. I had no idea why until the next time I missed the gym and made the connection. I felt really happy thinking my body had finally gotten used to and actually needed exercise.

But that was half a year ago. I plan to go back to the gym on Monday, I figure a little break from classes will be the perfect chance to get back on track. What I really want to focus on is cutting out all the sweet drinks at work (Starbucks -- that'll be a challenge, especially with a full-blown caffeine addiction) and instead drinking a lot more water.

I hope to get to the same exercise-dependent mindset by the end of this year. I say it's a good starting point.

I also miss the NEED to exercise. I really miss that feeling of "Wow that was an awesome workout!"

Thanks! I totally know what you mean. I am usually the one and only or one of two women in the free weight room. But I love lifting weights too, makes me feel all strong and powerful. Sounds like a good workout though.

Hey! I added the calories up for my day and it's at least 1600. I'd like to eat more fruit and veg, but produce is VERY expensive here. I pay $1 per piece of fruit! And my veggies are rather expensive as well. I don't find any point in eating the cheap kinds of veggies like cucumbers or lettuce. They don't have any nutrients in them. My daily salad is red cabbage, carrots, sugar snap peas, cauliflower broccoli and tomatoes. I think most of what I buy is organic as well, so it's EXPENSIVE. I spend about 40$ a week just on fruit and veg

Also I eat beans pretty much everyday, but they are 3 bucks a can! Other foods are all imported. Living in Japan as a veg is very very expensive. Sorry, I don't like tofu

I wish I could. I literally usually get 3 minutes to choke down my energy bar and that's it! I have a lot of kids' classes right now and no proper lunch break.

That's no good. Well, if you're still averaging around 1600 a day, that's probably okay. I know what you mean about prices in Japan, though... ugh.

Spent today at the international festival. I am le tired! Spent 7 hours on my feet being super energetic, running 6 cake walks, and teaching kids to do 60s dances. I ache! But it was fun.
