I still wear my old leather...and I've bought a couple of leather shoes since going veg. Mostly I wear Converse or Vans but sometimes- like for work or really cold weather- I need leather. And I have a fake leather bag and wallet just cuz I like how they look.

    Is this terrible?

PS- I've tried buying Earth shoes and other vegan shoes online and found it a real hassle. I had to try like 3 different sizes and had to ship everything back. With things like shoes/clothes I wanna try those on in a store.

The 'How can you LIVE without chicken/steak etc' question, erm other food does exist :P

    The fish question..

And people who feel the need to go on at you for not eating meat, im sure it would annoy them if we kept on at them for eating it!

And yes the God thing, 'he put animals here for us to eat'.. well if you were really supposed to eat them im sure you wouldnt get ill if it wasnt cooked (: not saying people are wrong for believing that, i just personally dont.

Theres only one way of life, and thats your own!

I kind of like it when people make stupid comments to me. I consider it to be an invitation to open up a socratic line of questioning to show them how silly their ideas are, and they can't complain to me for pushing my ideas on them because they're the ones who staretd it :P

Restaurants that serve vegetable soups made with a chicken stock - why do I have to order "vegetarian vegetable soup"?

-Me too! When I first became vegetarian, I had to stop going to places I wanted to get info from because I found that horror scenes were loading and playing without me clicking on them. I already had stopped eating meat because I 'got it'. Raising my blood pressure to stroke level to keep rubbing it in a vegetarians face is futile. So, I don't go to those sites anymore, and they probaby had other info I could have used.

I think throwing that kind of thing in a vegetarians face if a lot like a vegetarian coming out of a store and having a bucket of blood thrown on your and the thrower screaming out 'fur is murder'. You would reply, 'yes, I know, that's why I'm not wearing it!' Then they would reply, 'well, it still is murder, so get used to it!' Pointless, totally.

I think these things should exist, but with you making the decision to click on them.

I've been vegetarian for a few decades now and I still don't want to see it! "Hey, you're into vegetarianism, so am I, why not click this link?" Ugh!

I don't understand this. What kind of site are you talking about that only vegetarians can go to? Because the internet is open, omnivores can go to sites about vegetarianism too - a group like PETA tries hard to lure people to their site so they can take that opportunity to show people - anyone - the reality of how animals are used. The audience is not just vegetarians, but potential vegetarians. They may have one chance to do it.

It happens to me on this site from time to time, before the mods get the the title and put a warning label on it. PETA site is not too bad, it kind of lets you know what you are in for before you click the real hard core stuff, but there are a few places I've seen that have been touted in links lists as "vegetarian help sites" that really rank up their with snuff videos and kitten crushing sites for me. Some people are way too into those videos. Way too into them.
