These are generally referred to as "meatmares" -- if you do a search for the term you'll probably find a bunch of threads. It's discussed often around here.
The other night I dreamed that I was at a party and they had lots and lots of different meat on a buffet table and I was chowing down big time on all of it. I couldn't stop, then I felt very guilty when I was done. I was so glad when I woke up and realized it was just a dream. I started laughing that I had that dream. I don't miss meat at all! I love what I am eating now. My hubby teased me that a small part of me misses meat.
Have you ever dreamed about eating meat?

Thankfully haven't had one but have heard of lots of people having meatmares!
I had my first meatmare a few weeks ago. I think it was just me eating a burger, realizing what I was doing, and being horrified. Not exactly a pleasant thing to dream about that is for sure.![]()

No, not meat. But, just the other day I dreamed I was eating ice-cream. I'm a vegan, so I woke up really upset and praying it wasn't true. My husband, who is omni, thought it was hilarious.
Oh yes. The dreaded meatmares. They're the worst!!
Whenever I have one it's that I'm eating something and I'm not AWARE that there's meat in it until I'm all done. Horrible. I actually haven't had one in a REALLy long time though. I used to have them a lot when I first went veg but not so much anymore.

I had a dream once that I was forced at gunpoint to eat rancid ham. *shiver* I actually woke up gagging! It was awful!
What's funny is that a dream played a part in me finally deciding to go veg when I was a kid. I used to like chicken burgers when I was an omni, and I dreamed that I was sitting at the counter in a diner, ordering a chicken burger. The cook put the plate down in front of me, and when I lifted up the bun to put ketchup on the burger, there was a tiny baby chick sitting on the bun. It's down was all covered in mayo and bits of lettuce, and it looked at me and peeped. So in the dream, I'm horrified, and I say to the cook, "What the heck is this?!" and he says, "Hey, you ordered a chicken burger, didn't you? What did you think you were ordering?"
So when I woke up, that was pretty much it. I had been thinking about going veg all week, and that just did it. I had two bites of meat at breakfast, felt like being sick thinking about my dream, and just stopped and said "I'm done, no more," and never looked back!

I actually became a veg/vegan because of a nightmare about meat. But since I went vegan i have not had dreams about meat at all.
I had one a few weeks ago. I was on like a hotel balcony just stuffing bacon in my mouth. I could hear my concious mind telling me not to eat it, that it was bad for me. I also remember my brother in the dream yelling at me from below not to eat it. I made myself wake up and was so happy it was only a dream. My brother who is a vegetarian as well told me he had nightmares about eating meat. he said they are horrible. Maybe my sub concious is trying to tell me somthing. All i know is im not going back to meat, ever.
