    Spaghetti with basilic pesto sauce

    Spaghetti with basil pesto sauce
    Category: Main Dishes - Pasta

    This recipe is suitable for a: vegetarian/vegan diet


    Preparation Time: 15 minutes
    Serves: 4


    Ingredients:
    -----------------------------------------------------

    3-4 cloves garlic
    5 or more large leaves basil
    4 tbsp olive oil
    2 hands full of pine nuts
    100g tofu
    2 tbsp nutritional yeast
    pinch salt

    Spaghettis


    Instructions:
    -----------------------------------------------------

    Bring water for spaghettis to boil, add some salt and spaghettis. Meanwhile chop the basil, crush the pine nuts and crumble the tofu and add all together in a bowl. Press garlic, add salt to taste, nutrional yeast and olive oil. Now mash all till you get a more or less creamy green sauce. You might add some more olive oil.

    When spaghettis are done, rinse and split to plates and cover with your pesto sauce. Enjoy!

    Yum!

    I actually tried this at a restaurant once, and I fell in love! I am so glad you posted the recipe! I cannot wait to try it!

    I'm assuming you mean Basil? I've never heard it called Basilic.

    Yeah, sorry - I meant basil... Don't know why I typed basilic maybe because the german term is "Basilikum"
