I'm going for 9 days to do field work in Virginia, most of the time I'll be in the woods but we hope to stop in Washington. Any vegan/vegetarian goldmines I need to check out? (oooooh is there a trader joes?!)

Does anyone know of any good tattoo artists in the Richmond area that will use vegan ink? I just had a bad experience asking a local shop about vegan ink, it turns out they do have vegan ink, but the guy I talked to was REALLY REALLY MEAN about it, he even tried to make me seem like a hypocrite...

I am strongly thinking about moving to VA in like 6 months. I have never lived anywhere but Tampa, FL my whole life. I am not quite sure what part yet but I am already nervous and excited. Is there any advice or recommendations anyone can give me about the area?
