I thought it would be nice for a UK thread. If it is posted elsewhere point me to it. I did do a search. I find it hard as a veggie to eat out and I imagine it is even harder as a vegan so it would be nice if anyone finds a good or hideous restaurant to post the area and location and tell...
All the states seem to have one, so ... okay, I know we're a pretty small group, and most of us have a general idea of where each other are. But this might be helpful to newbies with questions/who want to meet up with locals, and it'll hopefully help build the case for our next meetup being UP...

Anybody fancy a meetup in early December? A meal and then some socialising in a place like Inspiral after?
Has anybody else seen the How Racist are You documentary? It's fascinating, but also sad... Especially as some of the white participants didn't appear willing to listen to the experiences of the non-white participants seriously.
I have not tried either and wonder if fellow vegetarians could tell me which one is better or worst or both?
Hope this is OK to post here, I'm not posting for personal gain (I'm not the landlord), just hoping to find vegetarian tenants to share my home before the landlord moves his own tenants in. Choice of 2 rooms available now in shared house in Sheffield (south side, about 1.5 miles from city centre...
I saw this product today. Is it new? I liked their other pate, this one I'm not so sure about. Never having eaten real Brussels pate I'm not sure what to expect - is it really meaty. I'm a sucker for Redwood foods, but wasn't (for the first time) suckered into buying this one.
Hello all, I am one of a group of students have been assigned a project to develop a framework for an on-line ethically focussed supermarket as a part of our coursework. We are currently in the “rough and ready” data collection phase and would appreciate the input of anyone who : - is the main...
It seems that travelling to London may be too expensive for me, so i was wondering if anyone else up here in the north wanted to stay local? I'm up for either meeting for a meal, or making a day of it and doing some kind of volunteering if we could arrange it?
Does anyone know where I can buy these in uk? I have tried the sage and apple from vegan essentials (usa) and they were sooo luvly. I want more!!!
I e-mailed Wrigleys months ago to ask if a product was vegan. I can't remember what it was since it was so long ago, I assumed they were ignoring my e-mail for some reason. But today I got this: I've e-mailed back to ask what's in them that makes them not even vegetarian, but I expect I'll...
I've got a few questions about vegan products and ingredients in the UK, as i know the situation can be different elsewhere. So i thought i'd start a general thread, for anyone to use really. I remember when i gave veganism a go a few years ago there were issues about lactic acid and sugar...
IamJen has asked me to be co-ordinator for the London meetup on November 1st, I hope you can all make it! In the first thread I suggested Joi since it's cheap (about a fiver) and very close to the tube station. If there are any other suggestions post them here. I think wherever we decide to...
The only fully vegan make up in the uk will stop trading after xmas, so if like me any of you are big fans i suggest you stock up now! Can anyone suggest anywhere else to get foundation and powder? BarryMs mascara is now vegan and i think their eyeliner is too but i need to double check! argh!
So how about a mid month meetup? Maybe a Friday or Saturday night, as this is less restrictive for people who have early mornings, or a long way to travel. It would be lovely to meet some of you people. What do you think and where shall we go?
Anyone interested? I was thinking maybe Bristol or Bath for ease of access, but that might be awkward if there's people from deeper into the pointy bit who want to attend.
... because you just can't get right. And if you can't do it right, then just don't do it!:furious: I've now lived in this country for over 3 years, and I can count on one or two fingers the number of times I've been served decent guacamole in a restaurant or bought it in a store. When will...

Just thought I'd post some letters before the strike takes hold
Anybody else gonna be watching?
http://www.meetup.com/londonvegan/calendar/11602823/ I know this is extremely close to the other VB meet up but thought I'd post it anyway. I'm not totally sure if I'll be able to go to the one on the 1st but think I'll definitely be going to this one. I've never been to any of these meet ups...
