ITS SO COLD MY CAR WOULDNT START AND I LOST MY GLOVES SO MY HANDS FROZE WHILE I CLEANED MY CAR OFF BARE HANDED!

grr, i feel better now though after venting. i love the city. i cant imagine a home anywhere else. but i am damn glad to be moving to arizona for a couple years. two winters off will hopefully make my returning winter a pleasure... or something like that.

This has been a brutal winter. And it started so early too.

Well at least it gives me and my wife time to catch up on movie rentals.

I love it! ^-^
It's so bright and white and clean and cold.
I was watching the news last night, and a reporter from.....somewhere had eggs outside and they were frozen solid. So I put one on the porch in the snow soon after, and just took it back inside. I keep throwing it against the ground and it's like a rock. xD My dog keeps trying to eat it, though. :\

Yeah gorgeous to look at, terrible to go out in. I am hating it today. My car made one heck of an angry noise this morning.

The boyfriend and I have been staying in most nights and watching movies as well. Ugh, how long till it's humid again!?

It was so bright and sunny out, but such deception!!! I've worn two pairs of pants for the last two days. On the other hand, my girl dog still wants to run and bury herself in the snow. My Caribbean born boy dog runs out, does his business and comes right back in.

It's sad when we're looking forward to the warm up into the 20's. One thing to be thankful for is that this cold helps to kill off insect pests naturally.

I heard on the radio this morning that if you blow bubbles (kid's soap bubbles), they will freeze and when they hit the ground will shatter like glass. My catnip scented bubbles are put away or I would try that.

I've done that with bubbles. Although if you find a patch of grass anywhere, they will sometimes land on the grass on not pop at all. Very cool.

This has been a brutal winter. And it started so early too.
So maybe it will end early? **** hope, hope :) ****

I've been going to the YMCA, sitting with my legs dangling in the 92 degree heated pool with my back to the sunny south-side windows, and pretending I'm in Florida....

I'm moving ASAP. Screw this. Caribbean sounds nice. Why do people live so far up north voluntarily? It's like volunteering to be tortured for 4 months a year. Crazy.

I lived in the Caribbean for 2 1/2 years, it has it's own frustrating issues. Like limitted or expensive resources. The lack of seasons is also boring, there's only 1-2 hours difference in the lenght of day light from summer to winter and about 5 degrees difference (the locals ewre freezing during winther though). I hated always wearing shorts and having to shave my legs every day (not pretty if I didn't, think tarantula).

Yeah. It would be HORRIBLE to live there! No seasons, no snow, no jeans or sweaters, no Chicago, a chance of being hit by a hurricane, the price of certain goods is insanity, people complaining about 60*, etc. I wouldn't last. That would be torture.

I guess that depends on which island you're on, though.

Just imagine, cool sea breeze in your face in the middle of January, warm sun overhead, no snow, no cold, no huddling for warmth in your room, just palm trees and turquiose waters as far as you can see.

God, how terrible that would be :spew:

Yeah, I got to go jogging for the first time in ~6mo today. That was sweet.

I hate rainbows, though. Refracted light just irritates me so!
