Are there any animal Rights Organizations besides for Peta? Something that has/ is going to make a difference? I am not the biggest fan of Peta so I am looking for other Animal Rights Organizations.

Peta has and will continue to make a difference. You may disagree but they get the job done. Google will help you out, it currently has 28,100,000 hits for animal right groups. It depends on what you are looking for. I think you may want to take a look at the ALF (http://www.animalliberationfront.com/) site.

Beware of groups labelled animal rights: http://www.animalemancipation.com/2007/04/how-peta-is-damaging-to-animal-rights.html

I don't like the sexist/juvenile stuff (and I am aware of all the claims that the naked women are volunteers and that makes all the difference).

However, my main problem is their dishonesty and inconsistency. For example, I think it was very dishonest to claim that 'pushing' KFC to gas chickens is a great welfare victory when there is little evidence to support the assertion. Now, it is true that there animal welfare experts who have made supportive claims about the CAK system, and there's been some research on it, the system has never been seen under commercial circumstances when it is not being run by scientists carefully controlling the situation. At best I think the CAK thing should have been put forward as a (potential) small step forward in welfare terms.

Of course, that is just part of it, since we now have the situation in which people think KFC is actively endorsed by the "largest AR group in the world".

And that brings me to the final problem! They do not follow animal rights philosophy. They openly admit that they follow Peter Singer's utilitarian animal welfarism and regard rights, like Singer, as a convenience not the basis of a position on human-nonhuman relations.

That should be enough for now!!

I know PETA isn't perfect, I asked the OP why they disliked them so I wouldnt point them towards other organizations that may do the same things she dislikes about Peta.
