Category: For The Animals
This recipe is suitable for a: vegetarian/vegan diet
Preparation Time: minutes
Serves:
Ingredients:
-----------------------------------------------------
2-3 cans plain pumpkin
1 c. peanut butter
whole wheat or other flour
Instructions:
-----------------------------------------------------
Mix pumpkin and peanut butter. Add enough whole wheat flour to make a stiff dough. Knead well and roll small batches into long ropes. Cut rope into dog biscuits of desired size.
Place biscuits on a baking sheet and dry/bake at 250-300 degrees F. for several hours until dry enough not to get mouldy but with just the tiniest bit of 'give'.
Additional comments:
-----------------------------------------------------
Pumpkin is good for dogs who tend to have loose stools, as many greyhounds do. My guys line up at the counter while I'm making these, because they love the raw dough best of all.
