Hi all - I'm from the UK but ever since I was a little lass I've hankered after doing a Laura Ingalls tour. Is the De Smet area worth visiting or would it ruin my Laura dreams? Have they restored the houses sympathetically?
Also - is it even possible to get a veggie meal?
Where's the best place to look for public transport links; obviously if I'm going all that way I'll visit Wisconsin, Kansas, Minnesota and Missouri too!
Oh - and what happened to the Big Slough and Lakes Henry and Thompson??
