Hey guys. I need a really rich, thick, effective-in-winter vegan hand cream that is not animal tested. Can anyone help? My usual lotions are just not cutting it this winter. :help:

I have painfully dry skin in the winter, I use Desert Essence Organics in Coconut, though the Vanilla Chai smells really good too. I've had friends borrow it and rave, it's being given out as Christmas presents this year to boot.

I can even use it on my face, very hydrating but not greasy at all. Their hair conditioner is good too, though their shampoo didn't work for me.

anything with a high percentage of shea or cocoa butter will probably kick butt.

Queen Helene Naturals Organic Cocoa Butter Body Lotion. You can probably find it at Rite Aid or Walgreens. It is super hydrating and works better than any other I have tried. Plus its fair trade and paraben free. So if you don't mind smelling like a big chocolate doughnut...

I think mine was 7 dollars and I've had it ~ 6 months with daily use. You only need a little dab. From what I remember, I've never found lotion cheaper than 5 really. : shrug : this is the only one I'll ever use now :)

I do get dry hands.... you're a frog, you have nothing to worry about, unless you're an urban frog surrounded by concrete. :p

Thanks you guys! I'm definitely going to seek out some of these. That Desert Essence sounds great. Aveda is also really easy for me to get; I live only a few blocks from an Aveda store. :)

I get dry hands as well as legs. I use alba's body cream. It works great and smells amazing. http://www.albabotanica.com/?id=66&pid=147
