We ended up getting close to four inches in some areas. It was just so amazingly beautiful (and rare). Half the neighborhood was out running around acting like a bunch of kids. People from up north would probably think we were crazy, but it just doesn't snow here.
Hey InstantKarma, why you no likey the snow? Anyway, you know what they say about Texas weather;if you don't like it today, don't worry. It'll change in about five minutes. We turned on the ac today!

Hey InstantKarma, why you no likey the snow?

I grew up in northern Minnesota, have lived in Michigan for 4 1/2 years since then. I have driven in snow and shoveled more driveways and sidewalks than the law should allow.

Oh. I see. I guess it would get tiring with the shoveling and all.
But hey, cheer up! It's in the seventies today!

Wow, that' really cold. The lowest temp here that I can remember was about twenty years ago when it got all the way down to 18. Texas folk don't know how to function in that kind of cold. It was pretty funny to watch them trying to drive on the icy roads.
The snow wasn't icy in the least. It was soft and fluffy and beautiful.

Heehee for a second I thought you guys were talking in Celsius! I was thinking, "aww, 9C, you poor babies! We're at -15C!". Then I realised that 9F is about the same :D

I grew up in Canada, and I agree, snow is fun - when all you have to do is play in it. But then there's shoveling the driveway, scraping ice off your windshield, and slipping on ice falling on your ass while walking to work!

I spent several months in Hawaii, a year in Thailand, and several years in Victoria, B.C. (where it rarely drops below 0 celsius), and I DEFINITELY prefer that kind of weather!!! I'm back in Eastern Canada again, and I'm miserable! Winter sucks!
