Totally lucked out

I switched lillys pedi for her last appointmet to the one closer to me in town. At the appointment we were talking about what is okay for her to eat and whats not okay. The doc mentioned meat was okay if I wanted but I didn't have to introduce it at all. I said, I'm never introducing it to her since I'm veg and she said that was great and that she had grown up veg! Did I luck out or what finding a veg pedi. I wasn't even looking for one. I was just going to nod and smile at whatever the doc said about meat.

sweet! my doc isn't veg, but he works in such an alternative community that he's seen it all. he was even modestly supportive of my unassisted birth saying that if i went to the hospital, he'd come and attend.

Not exactly on topic: Being that I'm not a parent, I thought you meant "pedi" as in "mani pedi" like a nail tech. The second sentence threw me and I was wondering why you'd discuss your daughter's diet with your nail tech. Anyway, you said "Doc" so I did catch on. :) I'm such a doof sometimes... Congrats again!

I lucked up too, when I went veg 6 months ago, i went to te doctors to see if I needed to do anything extra (blood tests etc) or take vitamins, and at my clinic I use, there are like 6 doctors at a time on duty, and you just get whichever is able to take you. well I was so scared i'd get the talk abt how meat is needed to be healthy etc, but my docto said he hadnt had meat in over 20 yrs! and was fine, and if I had problems to come in and he'd do blood tests and then we'd adjust my diet accordingly.. so far no probs! and next time I go in, I am requesting only that doctor :D
