After months of pain, X-ray, MRI, months of physical therapy, finally it turned out that I had a minor dislocation to one of my ribs. I went to see the chiropractor who snapped it back in place. I will keep going for a couple of more visits. But just wondering if other people here have had experience with this? Do you have any tips on what to do during the healing time? He said that when I go next week, he will prescribe me some exercises to do at home (right now it's still too sore). Is there anything else to watch out for - e.g. nutrition, supplements? Would getting a massage help? Thanks for any tips!

ask your chiro. if a massage is appropriate yet, it still may be too sore. eventually massage might really help, because the muscles around and connecting to the dislocation are probably stressed.

I'd tell you to ice it since you've likely got some inflamation going plus it will help with the pain. Other than that, keep going to see your chiropractor. It may take a good number of adjustments to get everything back in line. No massages right now. Once he gives them to you, keep up the excersises. Drink water and a vegetarian multi vit wouldn't hurt either. Follow your Dr.'s advice :)

Hope you feel better!
