Not trying to garner sympathy here, but I will be spending Christmas and New Year's completely alone. No family or friends here in town, no gifts, just me and my tv set hopefully watching some cool dvd's I rented or downloaded. It really really sucks the big one, but ya know sometimes you just gotta make the best of what you have. I'm looking into volunteering at a local soup kitchen and/or attending AA/NA meetings so I can at least be around other people. I really hope other folks are able to do the same.

I am not going home to see the fam this year for the holidays. I've had 3 or 4 invites to people's houses but I am just not feeling it this year. I think I'm gonna break down and get a Tofurkey roast, rent some DVDs and hang out here on VB for Xmas. However I will most likely end up at my friend's house for New Years. It's sort of a traditional now.

So far xmas alone isn't so bad after all. I hope everyone elses is the same

I always dread spending Christmas alone, but you know I think now that it is the anticipation of spending it alone that is the worst part, because now that Christmas is here I find that I'm not at all depressed about it. I'm doing fine actually! :)
