Hi guys,
I'm having a full holiday in Australia this upcoming christmas. I'm first staying 1 week in sidney and then I'll visit melbourne. Do any of you know if there is a train from sidney to melbourne or a good way to get there that is more entertaining and economic than taking a plane?
Thank u :D also if u know any good veggie-vegan restaurant
Peace:pibo:

Hi there. Make sure you buy a ticket to Sydney, otherwise you might never make it to Australia.
Melbourne is 800km or so from Sydney. I've gone Sydney-Melbourne by car, bus and plane. Never by train but there certainly is one. A bus will take around 12 hours and I am pretty sure it would be miserable, but its a way of seeing the scenery in between (admittedly there isn't much).
I have a friend who has caught the train and she said she would rather fly.
You can get a domestic flight on one of the budget carriers. It takes 1.5 hours and can be squishy in economy, but for 1.5 hours rather than 8 or 10 or more, I think it is worth it. There are generic websites like webjet (www.webjet.com.au i think) which give you all the deals for that time, and there are big sales on domestic flights every now and then.
There are some really good Vegan restaurants in Melbourne, but I have never been! I am sure someone here will recommend something.
