I like Independence Day (July 4th), because it give me a good opportunity to get all mushy and patriotic without coming off like a jingoistic jerk. :nana:

I also like Thanksgiving Day because, without getting too religious, it's a good opportunity to stop and be thankful for everything I have and to those who have worked all year to bring me what I have. :bobo:

And then of course there's Christmas Day, because I automatically get the day off from work even though I don't celebrate Christmas. ;)

Lol that's reason enough!

Mine is Halloween...but not so much for the trick or treating and candy. It's more of the...movies and decorations etc.

And probably Thanksgiving, because it's the only time my family really gets together, and we all like food...

Mmmm fooooddd *drool*

I kinda dig memorial day. A free day off with pay, fantastic weather, no pressure to do or buy anything.

I love the whole "holiday" season though. From Thanksgiving to New Years, it's all good.

For me it really depends on which holiday I get to spend with my family. Whichever one I spend with the fam is my fave!!

I know it's not *technically* a holiday but my birthday is still one my favorite days of the entire year!! I never understand how people think their birthday is not a big deal and don't want to celebrate  To me, my birthday is the day I get to celebrate MY LIFE!! It's one special day out of the year that MY LIFE is being celebrated. I APPRECIATE my life each and every day and try to do/say/think about something unique and/or special that truly reminds me that I'm ALIVE and that I have a GREAT life with a lot to be thankful for BUT my birthday is the one day of the year I get to commit to truly celebrating all day and the one day other people celebrate my life WITH me!! Peace & Love!!

Are you a photographer, or do you just like being in all the pictures? :p

Halloween's usually my favorite, too, but it's going to suck this year.

I usually love dressing up and decorating at work. My office goes nuts with it, with different departments competing to out-do each other with theme decorations and costumes. But my department this year came up with a really lame theme. I missed the meeting where we discussed it, or I would have suggested something different.

And I'm "on call" at work for a week starting on Halloween, so I have to stay some place quiet with my laptop in case I get an emergency call from one of our clients 24/7. So no Halloween night partying for me this year :( At least I'll be home to give out candy to the kids who come by.

I love Halloween. It's just as much fun for me as it is my daughter. Also Thanksgiving is great. All that yummy food and spending time with my family-can't beat that.Every single holiday this year I work and we don't get holiday pay either so that sucks.

I love Christmas! I love the Christmas music on the radio starting the day after Thanksgiving, I love the joyful spirits people get into, I love going into the store and seeing all of the pretty Christmas stuff and I love watching my family open the gifts I picked out for them! It is the one time of year I fly back home and spend with my family.

I'm going to be the first one to say Easter.

Back when I went to church (Eastern Orthodox), the Easter service was a really big deal. I absolutely loved the ceremony and all the traditions that went with it. Plus, I really loved hunting for eggs as a kid. Now I mostly like the holiday because of the memories that come with it, because I don't do those things anymore. I get so excited when I see stores stocking plastic grass and pastel Easter bunnies, lol.

I love the October - January holiday season of Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is probably my favorite time of the year even with the stress of parties, gift buying and such. It is just such a magical time of the year.
