Is there anyone else out there who still gets excited when those holiday cartoons from your childhood come on each year? I am watching "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and have been looking forward to it all day because it kicks off my holiday season. Am I alone here?

I need to find the Garfield Christmas special on video since it hasn't been on tv in years. I wish one of the networks would revive that one b/c I always found it amusing.

I love them! A few years ago we had a Polar Express party at school. The kids wore their PJs to school and we read Polar Express and watched the movie. In aftercare, we kept the fun going with these cheesy old winter favorites. It was wonderful watching my childhood favorites with all these children!

I watch The Charlie Brown Christmas special in the summer. It is nice sometimes to bring the holiday cheer even in the summer.

They're not cartoons, but I love all the Rankin Bass claymation ones.

Me! :hi: Me! :hi: I love all of the Holiday TV specials! I like Frosty, maybe because the little girl's name is Karen!
I also like Nestor, the long-earred donkey. I remember watching it with my daughter when she was little and we both cried when Nestor's mom died.
I love Charlie Brown!

Ummm...."Mouse on the Mayflower", anyone!??!
And for the record, Emmet Otter creeps me the hell out. And I usually like Henson's stuff....
Can't go wrong with the Claymation Rudolph tho. That's just pretty much sacred.

I still remember this from when I was in first grade. They made us hot chocolate with candy canes and put Christmas lights and train decorations on the walls. (Of course, this was way before there was a Polar Express movie)
My mom, sister, and I still watch Rudolph and Charlie Brown every year.

Not a cartoon, but my fam and I love to watch "It's a Wonderful Life" every year for the hilarious shock value. George is such an ass! Beating his wife, emotionally abusing his kids, it's ridiculous fun for the whole family. Not to mention the blatant sexism. And you go, Uncle Billy, effing up everyone's life left and right and facing no consequences whatsoever. By the end, we are all rooting for Potter.
Oh, the 1940's.

One of my favorite holiday cartoons from my childhood was Garfield's Christmas. I used to watch my VHS tape of it over and over again all Christmas season long!
