Sour Patch Kids!! Those are my favorite vegan candy. I think Mary Janes, Airheads Taffy, Jolly Ranchers, Cracker Jacks, Dots, Dum Dums, Jujubees, Mambas, Now and Laters, Sweedish Fish, Sweet Tarts, Smarties (American), Twizzlers, and Goldenberg's Peanut Chews (although they changed the name and I think they are harder to find now too!)
But always check the ingredients before you buy them cuz sometimes ingredients get changed around or online vegan lists can make mistakes.

Noooo... don't tell me this!
I don't want to be sitting on my couch vegging out to laffy taffy and sour patch kids all night.
Whoever said vegans were all skinny is sadly mistaken, lol.

^lol, I know! until now I was doing a good job convincing myself that all candy was full of gelatin and non-vegan ingredients! Smarties are way too addicting, lol...

Also Laffy Taffy.
Maybe 4 months ago, we got a Laffy Taffy (large watermelon one), and when I checked the ingredients there was egg in it. Dunno about other flavors or anything, but just thought I'd mention that.

is it known that the sugar source in all of these products is clean?
are any mainstream candies vegan AND h.f.c.s free?

where have the sourced this information from? Is it just the same as PETA's website? I'd like to see emails from the company

Yeah, I'd be careful with those lists. Not all Twizzlers are vegan, for instance.

I was wondering about those as well.

I do believe the original list was from peta, and i am not sure on the date of this list, i would still read the ingredients first.

of course read the ingredients, but I think with a lot of these you would need to go a little further in research. I've heard about sour patch kids (my favorite), but still haven't been able to bring myself to get some. I'm sure once I look I'll find something on there I don't want to eat (likely unrelated to veganism)

I bought this mix at Costco that had Nerds and Laffy Taffy and Smarties and Tootsie Rolls and Skittles. Then I realized that Tootsie Rolls obvi have milk in them. Durr. And now I just read the label, and the Skittles have gelatin (I don't eat them, so there was never a reason for me to check it out before.) Oh well, I fail once again.

Did you open the bag yet? You could take them back to the store.
FWIW, though, I've been a vegan for like 3 years now, and I still ended up with some non-vegan lollipops last year. Mistakes happen.
