She is smaller than she looks in the pics. She is probably about 25 pounds, I would guess. She is young, though I can't tell if she is a puppy or if she is full-sized already. She was listed as a GSD puppy, but I don't think that is right. Her feet are so small, I am thinking she won't get much bigger. (It is fine if she does, though!) Her paperwork said she was a stray, but online it says she was turned it because her owner was moving. She is extremely loving and clingy, though she is rather dominant and pushy, if you let her be. The shelter was calling her Snowball, but that is way too cutesy for me, and I have been calling her Blue. Normally I would go for something more original, but I think it has stuck.

Breed guesses?

Oh- thus far, she has had no accidents and hasn't chewed on anything except the dog toys. She and Lidia are still deciding how they feel about each other, but I think it is workable. They like to roughhouse and play together.

It will be interesting to see how much she grows (if any).

Four is a good number, but let me be the first to say NO MORE DOGS!

From her color and facial markings I would guess some Husky or Malamute, unless her eyes are blue, which rules out Malamute, if I remember correctly. Malamutes are a lot bigger, too.

Good job giving her a home, Ms. No More Dogs!

Dingo!

Seriously, she's adorable. Except for the coloring (and the fact that her ears are erect) she reminds me of my older dog back when she was a pup.

Maybe she's an Alaskan Klee Kai (minature husky).

I want to say husky mix. Her body shapre reminds me so much of my Sage, but I don't know for sure other than lab what she is, so I am of no help there. Cute whatever she is, congrats!

Another vote for husky mix... but I think there may be a small sprinkling of GSD in there too.

Whatever she is, she's CUTE!!!

Haha. My parents said that when they reached four dogs...they have 10. I think dogs know a sucker when they see one. :p

She is very pretty. She looks like maybe a malamute mix to me. Malamutes are usually lighter in the face than huskies. They have darker eyes than huskies too.

:lol::lol: That's why I stay away from shelters, I have no place to bring them home too, I'd cry my eyes out.

Malamutes are not lighter in the face than huskies. Malamutes can have black on their faces. Malamutes have brown eyes, never blue. A husky can have either brown or blue, or both. I do not see any Malamute in your new puppy.

However, I would guess that she is a cross between a husky, shepherd and possibly kelpie. Either way, she's very cute!

There is almost definately husky in her, GSD as well. Possible some type of smaller terrier - hence the shorter hair and smaller size. I would need to see her move to get the hint of other specific breeds.

You can get a rough estimate of her age by looking at her teeth. They start getting adult incisors at 4 months and all adult teeth are in by 6 months. Adult teeth start out as a gleaming, intense white and will gradually fade to an off whitish color. Dogs with bad diets will start to accumulate tartar by 7-8 months. If you think she may be older, take a look at her nipples, if they are almost non-existant, she was probably found and spayed prior to her first heat. If they are large and require their own zip codes, she's probably been a mama a couple of times at least (and at least 2-3 years old). Also how active is she? Is she leaping onto her toys in a pounce or more sedate and refined?

Anywhich way, she is very cute and has found a great home.
