Their makeup is not only fantastic and well made, but it's also cruelty-free. Part of their entire appeal to the general public is that they not only do not believe in animal testing but they are fighting against it. Did anyone buy the purple bracelet against animal testing that they sold a few years ago? I bought 4 of them haha.

Any other really good brands?

Urban Decay and Hard Candy are both awesome. Not only do they have rockin colors and stuff, they totally stand for what I believe in. I am a self-professed make-up junkie so anything that gives me an excuse to pick up some more stuff and I am so there! Have you tried the glitter eye pencils? Rockstar!

That's hilarious. I was just about to put on some urban decay.

I have this amazing eyeshadow set that has 4 crazy colors. Oil slikc, stray dog, midnight cowboy and flipside. I love them all!

I think I may need to get some of these glitter pencils though.

Dude, every time I put on the black glitter pencil I get tons of compliments. I just feel like batting my eyes in every which direction. It is so fun being a girl!

Agreed. I was just having fun putting on my sparkly midnight cowboy shadow.
I love wearing sparkles!

urban decay is good stuff-really nice quality. the vegan products are marked with a purple pawprint and all listed together in a special vegan section on their site, which is very handy. hard candy (their sister company) is way too girly for me, but its great that they do the same thing.

Almost all my makeup is from Urban Decay. I only buy vegan toiletry/cosmetic products, and they make the vegan products on their site super easy to find. Very high quality stuff too.

Urban Decay is too expensive for me to buy regularly. I only use one product: Primer Potion. It works great! I use Everyday Mineral and MAC.

Awesome. I was unaware that this company had these standards. I've gotta remember this when I run out of eyeliner

I didn't used to be picky about this stuff, but putting anything near my eyes makes me want to hold the company I buy from to higher standards, too.

I am allergic to everything...all the make-up I have tried I have had a bad reaction too...but I may try this one because so many of you have sooo many nice things to say about it and its cruelty free:)

Jenni, you should definitely try Everyday Minerals too. The ingredients are VERY simple and natural :) I have allergies to makeup too, but EM is safe for me. You can get a free sample kit too, all you have to pay for is shipping ($3 or so).

 :) Just go to Custom Kits and it's under that. You just drag and drop colors into the kit on the right :) If you need help picking out foundation colors, just let me know.

Wow, I was just sucked into the site for almost an hour! I saved all my choices for later b/c I will not be home for the package to arrive and I don't want it to get lost.

The FAQ has a great section that helped me pick foundation colors that I think will work. Do you use any of the eye shadows? I am thinking of adding one or two when I place me order. Is the loose powder aspect messy? Which size do you order? Thanks for the help!

 That website DOES suck you in! For the sample kit, if you get the cheapest shipping, it just arrives in your mailbox. :)

I have a couple eyeshadows. I got 3 free eyeshadows with my order a while back (they have specials every week). The eyeshadows aren't as dark as the pressed kind, they look more natural, but they're nice. I have "In the Garden" and "Diary." I wear my brown one the most, the one that was free. They don't have it on the site because it was one of the Olympic colors. For eyeshadow colors, I recommend just getting the sample size, they last a long time.

The loose powder is definately more messy than the pressed stuff, but you get used to it and can minimize the mess after time. The carpet in my bathroom must be full of powder because I often blow on my brushes over it so the counter stays clean :p

Once I figured out my foundation color and figured out what things I liked, I splurged and got the $50 order. Worth it completely, it's MUCH cheaper than MAC (What I also use) and even the cheap store brands.

Here's my order. (http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d13/danakscully64/large-em-order01.jpg)

Thanks for the pic, super helpful. I can't tell from it which foundation and finish you ordered. I was thinking of Original Glo foundation with shimmer or lucent blushes. What do you like? Also, have you tried the eye shadows with a damp brush?

I've been skipping past this thread for days now, not knowing what Urban Decay was. I just knew I'd never heard of it. Then I went to the mall with Heather today and she said she needed to go to Sephora because she had a gift card and wanted to get Urban Decay. The stuff looks pretty cool! She likes it.

Edti: She bought the skull shadow box.

I just typed up a huge paragraph and it disappeared. :grr:

I ordered the Sandy Fair in Intensive and O-Glo. I've been told you can mix the two to get the nice finish of O-Glo and the coverage of intensive. I really don't need the Intensive, but I got it just in case. What colors did you pick?

With the blushes, my favorite is definately Nick Nack. I have Soft Touch (Lucent), but I don't wear it that much. I should wear it today though :) Nick Nack is actually a little darker than the picture on the site shows. If you want the neutral look, the shimmers and lucents are definately the way to go. I never go overboard on the blush, I just put enough to add color to my cheeks. One of my coworkers says that when I go outside to take orders (handheld device, fast food), people think it's snowing because I'm so white. They would think I'm a snowflake :p

I've only tried using a wet brush with the eyeshadows once and it didn't work for me. A lot of other people I've talked to have had success with it. I just usually use it dry.

I love mineral make-up, so I hope I like this brand.

I got some free samples of another brand once, the name had something to do with a kitten or cat I think, anyways, it was so shimmery that it was weird looking...it reminded me of a metallic paint..

It was good for the neighbor kids on Halloween though..they were martians..

You'll definately like this brand! The quality and price is amazing! It's vegan too, not like Bare Minerals.

This brand isn't shimmery (unless you order the shimmer blush, of course). The products are very simple and effective. :)

New shoes looks very pretty! I don't know if I could pull that color off, I'm very fair. Maybe a very light coverage would work. Room Addition sounds awesome! I'm putting that on my next wish list :) I'm taking a break from makeup buying, I'm trying to break my addiction.

I have STFP, I wear it under my foundation to keep my makeup on. I LOVE my Finishing Dust :)

What color are your eyes? I have greens eyes and I've found that browns and purple looks great on me. :)

I need to make a list of my favorite EM products.
