Soon to be introduced: Wrap (as in Saran Wrap or Aluminum Foil) is now being made from various fruits and vegetables. Soon to be introduced for sale. Totally edible and biodegradable. Sounds like a very interesting idea...I may give it a try.

These seem really odd to me. I somehow can't imagine that they'll be vegan. I'm picturing gelatin. Also, baggies and wraps are meant to protect your food. In other words, they're the things that touch the dirty table you're eating off of, they're the things that are exposed to the air in the fridge, that might have an off odor. And we're supposed to eat that? creepy. "Yo, Bobby, are you going to eat your sandwich bag? cuz if not I'll eat it".. lol.

First you can get all your antibiotics in that yummy McDonalds meat and then you can have your fruit and vegetable burger wrapper. Sci-fi man. Well, if it does turn out to be vegan and all, I guess I might eat my baggy. Perhaps it'll taste like a Fruit Leather. I wouldn't think that they could keep things clean, fresh and retaining their original flavor though. Hmmm.. maybe some people will buy just the wrap as a snack? hehe.. no need for edible undies when this comes out, I imagine those helped inspire this.

well even if you don't eat it, it'll be very biodegradable so it doesn't matter either way.

i read about it this morning in the paper, sounds like a pretty good idea. they didn't mention gelatin, just that it would be stretched out on teflon, or something like that. :D

That kinda creeps me out. I think my brain might be too stuck on "THIS IS PLASTIC" to actually eat it!
