Are you dressing up this year? What are you going to be?
We've decided to go out for Halloween and dress up which we haven't done in years. I'm starting to look at costumes and don't know what I want to go as.
So what are you doin?

I haven't gone all out for halloween for ages, but I am this year. I'm really excited!
I am going to a big event with about 15 friends... Me and 3 of my best friends are going as the 4 elements.
I'm going to be Fire. I have an amazing dress from Ireland which I have never worn that is perfect. It's brown, red and orange, with sparkles. It's rather low cut as well. I'll wear it with brown boots and then color my hair red. Lots of makeup too, I think .
Another friend of mine is going as Chucky- from the horror movies. I'm kinda terrified of what that"ll look like. He has the same kind of face.

That's so creative! I love it :) Chucky freaks me out lol. If he kinda has that face it would be a good costume- though scary after a few drinks. (BTW- I like your new av. That's a great picture of you. :))
We haven't done anything spectacular for Halloween in forever either and since it's on a Friday this year we're getting into it. I wonder how many Sarah Palin costumes there will be, lol.

I always make my costume so I always end up being something easy and lame.
This year I'm a hippy cat. Boo.

YES!! Halloween is by far my favorite holiday, and I never miss the chance to dress up!! When I was a kid, it was always a big tradition for me and my sister to go to the fabric store to pick out patterns for costumes that my mom would sew for us. I don't sew, but I always make my own costumes with different props/clothing.
I'm going as Amy Winehouse this year. :D All I need to find is a beehive wig and do some 'shopping' in my closet for the most ridiculous combination of skank-a-licious clothing I own. I'm pumped.

My 15-year-old is going as Snow White - we found a classic costume at Valu-Village (thrift store) with red cape and everything - she totally looks the part with her hair curled and a red bow!
I made this incredible "Ursula the Sea Witch" costume several years ago and it's going to get worn every year until I die... I put H-O-U-R-S of work and way too much money into making it, but it is absolutely AWESOME - totally me!! Bwa-ha-ha-ha...
Yes, sort of a Disney theme around this house.

Where I live, there's an age limit on tricker-treating (how lame!). But I'll probaly end up at KFC dressed up like a zombie for a protest there, and then change into my mary-kate/ashley olsen costume from peta2. I'm not sure where I'm going to wear it, but I'm going to try to find a place.

We were wandering around the local Halloween store yesterday and I came across a costume by Leg Avenue for Lady Luck. I fell in love, so I'm going to make my own variation of it. No roulette wheel skirt, but I did find the following fabric:
I'm making a skirt out of that and ringing it with playing cards. I've got to work out what to do with the top and I need to somehow incorporate poker chips.
Now to find something to do for Halloween..

^^ poker chip earrings?
I don't know where I'll be for Halloween yet-- my boyfriend wants to be Shawn from that movie Shawn of the Dead & I'd like to find something too, but I have some cat ears if all else fails
Is anyone dressing up their animals?
I think my dog would be a really cute dinosaur/dragon something, but I'm not sure he'd like wearing a costume...

I want to be a pirate.
I won't have any where to go, though. And I want to make my own costume because 1. All the ones they sell are HIDEOUS, 2. I could actually make it look realistic, and 3. It would be so flipping awesome I'll just have to wear it every Friday. ;P

Me and my husband are either going to be Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter or my husband is going to be Captain Hammer and I'm going to be one of Captain Hammer's Groupies. I've been trying to convince my son that he should be Dr. Horrible.

I just found my inspiration for my H-ween costume.
<---- Dis wig.
Gonna be a punk rocker chick. Can't decide if I'm going with the wig or not because it's uncomfortable. Found some freezing spray and good temp-dye for my hair and I'm trying different ways to faux-hawk it where it looks good too. Gonna wear my bluejean mini skirt, black Clash t-shirt, ripped fishnets, black combat boots, black studded choker/wristbands and tons of metal.
Unfortunately, I will have a busy day that day. The H-ween party I'm going to is on Oct 25th, which is also my best friend's wedding and I'm her Maid of Honor. The wedding is at 2pm, then the reception... then I have to be at the party by 8pm!!!

Yes, our dog has a pumpkin "cape"... he LOVES it, goes bananas whenever we put it on, because he wears a sweater in cool weather when he goes out, so he thinks he's going to go outside when he's "dressed up" in the pumpkin costume.

Halloween morning, I'll be a Zombie.
In the afternoon, I think I'll be switching to a Pirate for my friend's wedding.
Then I'm going to a B&W silent movie - Jeckyll & Hyde, with live pipe organ.
Then I'm playing Eddie in a midnite performance of Rocky Horror.

Good one! I can't imagine anything scarier than Amy Winehouse.

That's good! I was thinking that or drilling holes in them and making a belt. Or both.
Oh and Amy Winehouse scares the bejeebus out of me. I consider myself a brave soul, but if she came up to me on the street I'd run away screaming.
