Hey, I'm wondering what would be good for curing wisdom toothache? I don't have a dentist where I am (mines is at home...), and my teeth really hurt. Would you recommend any vegan painkillers? Thanks!

Wisdom tooth pain. Ewww. Honestly, I would just try to find a dentist in your area. If they are hurting you, it could be from an infection or they could be pushing on a nerve. If that goes on for too long, it could really damage your mouth, and if you have trouble when you get them extracted, you won't care if your painkillers are vegan, you'll just want whatever will help. (Having a muscle spasm around a nerve after having mine removed was the most excruciating pain of my life. Worse than breaking my neck. )
Until you can get checked out, try to find something to take down the swelling. Advil and tylenol, and the like aren't considered vegan 'cause they have Steric Acid in them, which is from Bovine source. You might be able to find a no-name brand ibuprofin or acetominiphan without it, possibly.
But, if you are in a lot of pain, I would just try to find one without gelatin capsules and take it. I don't think you should suffer!

Those buggers hurt like crazy when they're growing in! Really makes you feel bad for babies, does it?
An anti-inflammatory like Advil or Aleve and some topical anesthetic, like Ambesol or Oragel would probably help to alleviate the pain. What made it even worse when mine grew in was the tops grew in first... then the bottoms grew in and I wasn't used to having a set of teeth back there and kept biting my cheek.. which then got swollen... so I'd bite it more cause it was in the way. I though it would NEVER heal!! (and only did when I got a throat infection and couldn't eat solids for a bit. ugh!)

Thank you for the replies. I think it is wisdom teeth, although I might be grinding, due to stress. Perhaps I should just get an appointment made with the home dentist (not that far away, really), because ouch!

I'm not 100% sure about pill-type painkillers where you live but I do know that pure clove oil dabbed on the sore teeth/gums/area works. It's a natural and fairly effective local, topical anaesthetic.

The ^^ above advice is good , long term , its not good to tolerate if it is an infection in your gums . the pus will drain into your system and create all sorts of health problems .
