Hi, what do you think of my progress pics?
The first is from Dec 06, just before I joined my my gym. Apologies, it really is gross I know! The second is from today.
One thing that motivates me when I'm working out is to dispel the perception people have that veg*ns have to be weak and unhealthy looking.
NB. In Dec 06, I was a meat eater!

Your recent pic looks like the perfect picture of health. Awesome job! You look a LOT younger in that pic, too. (that's meant to be a compliment, not rude)

Great progress on the abs - keep it up.
Your arms look strong too - what do you do to work them?

WOW that's just amazing! I have to agree with everyone that the last picture looks like it must belong to some young stud while the first...not so much. Your arms look fantastic (as weird as that might sound)!

Thanks for all your comments. It means a lot to me.
In answer to what I do for my arms, to be honest I've had lots of different programmes, but essentially I don't work the same body part more than once a week. I usually work out 5 or 6 times a week, 3 x cardio, 3 x weights/machines.
At the moment, a typical week will be:
Day 1: Chest, Shoulders, Triceps
Day 4: Back, Biceps, Abs,
Day 2/6: Lower Body
Other days: cardio.
I've got into running this summer too, I ran a sub 50 minute 10km run in a competitive race last month, which was my cardio goal for the summer. That was something I felt especially good about, as I'd been working towards it for some months.

Awesome job! Really inspiring. Also, it's a bit off topic but I think that guys who shave their chest/abs hair are really hot!!!

Thanks again for all your comments - they're inspiring to me too!
I've just got back from a few days in Spain, and one day I did a 17km run, much further than I've ran before.
It was a good run, we were staying in this villa a few kms from the sea, in a somewhat non-touristy area. My run down to the sea took me past a few farms, and I twice got chased by farm dogs! Anyway having survived that (and learnt that if you bark back at them they actually run away!) and run up and down a few mountains, ok a little exaggeration but Spain is very hilly, I finally made it down to the beach.
I hadn't intended running as far as I did, but after 10km I felt so good I thought I'd do a half-marathon but in the end had to give up after 17km and walk back the last 3 km. My knees were pretty sore that evening!
(MZC: I'm as old as I look in the 1st photo, that's all I'm saying!)

Excellent job, Licence. I like the barking-back idea. I'll have to try that out on my walks. Sometimes, I hit new areas and don't know where all the dogs are :).
