At present times like this, given all the news there is bound to be stress.

News
Here is the best course of action. Read news etc., here for not more
than 15 minutes. Be very efficient. Decide on quick plan of action.
Don't think on this for mroe than 5 minutes after.

Overwhelm
There is overwhelm due to the number of thigns we need to do at this
time. Make a list/mind map. However, don't get overwhelmed. Let the
paper/PC do the worrying for you.

POSITIVE FOCUS
Just focus on the few things that you can realistically do for today
and do them. Don't think too much about them either. Also, have a
variable alternative 2 or 3 different plans of things to do should
somethign unexpected happen.

Mantra/Prayer
At such times even saying a Mantra or a Prayer will provide
relief/distraction from the negative. If not, focus on pleasant
things like walk in pleasant scenary, cartoons,
plants/trees/flowers/nature etc.,

Share any other frugal stress reduction tips here.

Well, I find my biggest frugal stress reducer is simply the act of saving. I enjoy saving money and knowing that we'll have it if we ever need it is reassuring.

Other than that I like to relax by listening to music or watching movies/television. We've started getting CD's and DVD's at the library. The CD's are free and the movies are $1 for 3 nights. They also have complete series of television shows on DVD.

This is good but please read about inflation also. Inflation when it happens eats away at savings. It is good to be aware of this.
