Audiobooks/Mp3 Players/Old Time Radio Shows
These are great, frugal and good to listen to when eyes are tired etc., One can easily download a good collection from librivox.org
Keep like 2 or 3 mp3 players with loaded files if these and in good to go condition. MP3 players are very cheap these days and will greatly help.

Very welcome. There are a ton of sites that offer Audiobooks for free. Gutenberg.org also offers them. HUGE/MASSIVE collection out there. After a few trials, one gets to know what one likes and can then make a collection of what they prefer more.

If you travel a lot, then this is worth it:

I purchased their collection and am quite happy with it. Hearing a voice is very reassuring. Like a parent/relative reading you a bed time story. :D

Thanks for pointing this out. They have quite an impressive collection. Already found lots of works by authors I'm interested in. :D
Oh, Librivox is awesome too.

Very welcome. Also, everyone not to forget podcasts. These are growing, awesome and all over the net as well. Podcasts are a great way to also learn about new topics. :vebo::vebo:

I really loved to listen to Alice in Wonderland and also Robinson Crusoe. On the other hand, shorter stories are great if one doesn't listen often and wishes to listen to something during a brief wait for eg., at a Doctor's Office.
For me going to librivox. org or to archive.org is like finding out what is playing at the local movie theatre. :)

I moved some/books letters etc., on my mini-stereo to a storage container, so that I can access my CDROM cover on top. Now I can put in Audiobook CDs and listen to them before going to sleep or when tired with convenience. :)

I also like to listen to Radio, mainly CBC1 early mornings a number of foreign Radio Station SW broadcasts are included. Also, their talk shows, commentaries etc., are VERY deep and meaningful. Presently, I have it on low volume.
The Main problem with the Stereo is that I have burnt all my Audiobooks to DVD but this only reads CDs, so I need to burn again what I need in smaller quantities to CD and then listen. This is less enviro friendly and bugs me.
