Has anyone done any animal rights awareness demonstrations in the city? Is there a law of what we can and can't do? Because I want to get my ass out on Hay street one weekend to yell at all the meat eaters and give kids peta stickers. Ideas?

Hey, well i was kidding about actually yelling at people but I would like to do something that will get attention in a non threatening but a "hey look at that!" kind of a way. Wish I had my full chicken costume but it's in Connecticut.

AH YES. I think even an informative table on hay street would be good. But have really graphic pics (if allowed i guess, otherwise have them in a book) (or short videos) and people would see that and come up and ask questions. mayb ask amy to make up some vegetarian health flyers and how it isnt so hard to do and all the good things that come abt it like better health, feeling better emotionally, better for the environment etc.
If you can get people genuinely interested in it, and asking for information and they let their guard down and take in what u tell them to ponder about, I think there would be a higher sucess rate with people making the switch. If u were to yell at them and stuff, they;l just get defensive, ignore u and say their way is the right way and we're wrong.
mayb the ppl talking and being informative could be dressed up as animals and stuff, to catch attention. just mayb masks wouldnt be best so u could inform people of what veg*ns are all abt.
hmmmm if it was like that Id be in.

Just an idea about getting hold of information etc...You can contact Animals Australia and ask them to send you some leaflets about factory farming, and also the 'save babe' campaign. I got quite a few of each a couple of months back. I think if you let them know what you were wanting to do/get involved in, they'd be more than keen and might also be able to steer you in the right direction. Good luck Mike! Sounds like it could be a fun day of potentially converting people, or at the very least, opening their eyes =)
Hey!
what have you participated in? or seen in the activists area here in Australia?
What is illegal? what is allowed?
What are some good ideas to do, or what have you done???????
Thanks :pibo:
