Hello!
I have decided to actively try to sell my jewelry. I’d like to do so at a jewelry party kind of thing at my apartment. It’d be the kind of thing where people can look at the things I’ve made and buy those pieces, and/or place orders for other pieces they’d like that I don’t already have available. I was thinking about having the party on either Sept 20th or 21st for a few hours in the afternoon, and people can come and go as they please. And I’ll probably have another one in November or so, closer to Christmas (handmade jewelry makes excellent gifts!!). Would any of you be interested in coming for one? If so, please let me know which day, as I’m totally flexible and want to plan it for whenever’s convenient for the most people. Oh, and there will be food!

hey! i'm not in oklahoma, but have you tried selling at places online like etsy.com?? it's all handmade stuff and you can set your prices as you see fit as well as reach a wider market, too.
and maybe some of the local shops around there would be interested in selling your pieces, too. just a couple ideas. :)

I don't really wear any jewelry, but I'll come by and check it out!

That's a good suggestion - I hadn't thought of that! I'd looked at eBay, but the prices on there are so low I wouldn't even recoop my cost! I'll take a look at that website. And I'll look around at some shops, too. This is a very recent development (my rent's going up $40/mo starting in October), so I haven't gotten toooo far into this yet.

Hooray! Looks like it'll be the 21st (I emailed a bunch of people from work that's working better for them), which I think is the day of potluck?

It is the same day, though we can always discuss a different day if that needs to happen.
$40/month increase is a LOT! Yow!

Well, potluck won't be at my house this time, so I'm fine with doing both the same day. I should be able to shoo everyone out of my house at 4 to start cooking for the potluck :)
I'm sad about paying more rent. But maybe without the expense of a boyfriend it will be more manageable. :-/

Since I'll be doing some last minute cleaning, can you just bring it with you to my house for the potluck? :D
