Do you ladie stick to your regular excersize routines while on your period? If not how do you switch it up? If so, how do you get your lazy bloated camping self to moooooove?! haha

I exercise while on my period. My trick is having my PE teacher blow a whistle at me to make me keep going. Ha oh wait I don't have a choice on that. Outside of school I don't do the normal routine. I try to keep a little active, but I allow myself to do exactly what I want, like riding my bike.

I've changed my exercise routine during my period. I've never had cramps or bloating or PMS or anything though.

I dont have bloating or cramps... rarely do I. Depending on my schedule and time of day, i restrict to doing exercise at home by doing sit ups, push ups, weight training, etc. I'll go for walks instead of running. I skip workout on my heaviest day.

It's just like any other day for me. I don't get bloated or cramps or anything, so no need to modify my workout specifically because of my period.

What she said. ^^^^ I think it's just the way I'm built.

I find that when I do have cramps (very rarely), exercising actually helps to ease them.
To avoid getting bloated, eating a wholefood vegan diet incl. plenty of raw vegetables & fruit, and drinking lots of water, might help.

I stop exercising a few days before my period is expected because otherwise I'll pay for it with greater intensity of cramps. I don't exercise (and try not to move much) on the first day of my period because of the pain involved. The dogs don't even get walked...they just get released on the front lawn and told to hurry up (because even standing makes the cramps worse). On the second day, I don't exercise because that's my heavy flow day. I go through a double glad rag pad every hour or so. After that, it's almost completely back to normal...depending on the flow. If it's light, I'll do pretty much anything. But if it's moderate to heavyish, there are a lot of asanas I won't do and I certainly don't go around doing shoulderstand or headstand.

I tend to get lots of nausea on my period so I don't do aerobics where I have to jump around. But I do find gentle pilates helps.

Just lucky, I guess. I'm not on the pill or anything (my husband's been snipped.)

I don't change my routine even though I feel more tired on the heaviest days. I just try to make sure I eat a little more before I go out for my walks (that's mostly what I do for exercise) so that I don't get too fatigued.
