...and the confused, yet 'aware' omnivore. I probably could have thought of a more creative title :sealed: but, I digress.

Occasionally I hear of public lectures / dinners that I think environmentally aware / ethically concerned people may have an interest in, so here's some information in case others are interested. The following events are coming up in the next couple of weeks in Sydney and Melbourne.

Good idea for a thread Kristen :)

There are some festivals coming up later in the year which I was going to post about, but some of them are a bit slack in getting their websites finalised so it's a bit pointless posting them just yet.

I think festivals probably deserve their own thread, what do you reckon? That way people can see them easier because there's a chance the details could get buried amongst the chat about different events.

There's some more dinners coming up in Melbourne that I found yesterday which I've lost temporarily, but I'll post the details when I find it again.

I went to a couple of vegan society dinners once, many, many moons ago. They were quite good. I'll have to go back again one day when I have more time.

Good idea for a thread, though. I hope to see it used.

If I was smart, I would be taking note of these vego places in Melbourne, so I'd be more prepared when I'm there in January [any tennis loving veg*ns out there??].

On Sunday October 12th I'm going to see Jane Goodall at the Opera House at 2pm followed by an Australian Orangutan Project meeting. I have a spare ticket to see Jane, $30 if anyone is interested. Also, anyone wanting to attend the AOP meeting is more than welcome. It'll be pretty casual, talking about getting volunteers for the AOP stall at Cruelty Free festival, other upcoming events etc. Just an opportunity to meet likeminded folk I guess, though I don't think any of the ones attending are veg. I think it will be at the Opera Bar, Circular Quay, just after 3pm. Let me know ASAP if you want that ticket =)
