Do you think we are currently experiencing Future Shock as described by Alvin in his book with the same Title: Future Shock ? Please share.

Everyday there are so many more things that we all need to learn/keepup with, it appears.

Man, I can barely remember that book. When did it come out; 35 years ago? :lol:

Yes I remember that book , about 3 life times ago . I am amused by his claim that kids would not be able to keep up with the speed of tech-no development ( the Internet was not even invented then ) and they would go under . Well the kids have kept up and its the older generations that have struggled .

I've never read the book before. The title doesn't even sound familiar.

Everyday there are so many more things that we all need to learn/keepup with, it appears.It's not a problem for me. Maybe he didn't anticipate technological convergence helping out a bit.
