So, seems like the consensus of tonight's discussion was to meet at Himalayas in 2 weeks, which would be 9/7. Shall we do 6-ish again? That seems to work for everybody.

Thebunni- We missed you and Wayne tonight and you guys missed out on some damn good eatin'!!! Hope you guys can come eat some Indian food in 2 weeks.

Do we want to also do another potluck in September?
Anybody willing to host if that's the case?

Jack and I would both very much like to go to Himalayas in 2 weeks AND go to a potluck later in the month. I think it's safe to say that Jack would like to be in charge of beverages again :)

Hope everybody had a good weekend! So...Himalayas this coming Sunday (9/7/08) about the same time, 6ish? If everybody who can come will confirm here, I'll call either Friday or Saturday and make a reservation for us so we can be sure they will be ready for our group. Also, if anyone is bringing anyone new, they should let me know also so the reservation will be for the right # of people.

I ate there last Thursday for my birthday and OMG it was so good. It's always good, but man there was some really good stuff on the buffet that night. :drool:
Can't wait to go back!

I'm needing to save up for a few things REALLY bad. So i probably wont be able to go to the next couple of meetups. It's not that I don't want to, trust me I want to really bad. but these things are VITAL to my existence..and gas is expensive. but I could totally host a potluck, that is if you guys don't mind sitting really close. and no table. and driving here.

What if some of us chipped in for your food? Would it still be too expensive?

I think Mary volunteered for the next potluck, if I recall correctly.

I do know how needing things goes though.

Just sometime around the end of the week will be fine. Friday or even Saturday will work.

Jason and I can't make it -- Jason has to work and I have really evil homework that requires a study group meeting. Blech. So far we're still good for the potluck -- I've been practicing different vegan dishes. I made this Indian chickpea spread for lunches this week and all I have to say is yum. :bobo:

Thought I'd try. We like you being around! Even Cynic 2.0 was saying how he missed (teasing) you at the last meetup. :p

Looks like this next one will be a little smaller but that's ok.
Maybe we can all be at the potluck!

Was good meeting Ron, Mary. He seems pretty laid back and cool. :)

Kelley, I think I could listen to you tell tales for like hours.

I'm still :drool: about that vegetable soup. That was like the best thing I've ever had in my mouth. (And I've had some good things in my mouth :sealed: ;) )

The dal was pretty amazing too.

Ok, so everything was amazing.....:lol:

I'm ready to go back already!
