Finally, after a year of searching I have finally found an AMAZING vegan "cheese".
It looks like mozzarella, it tastes like mozzarella, and it melts like mozzarella.....but it is tofu!
I love pizza more than anything, and can now make a vegan pizza that tastes like the real deal.

I found the texture to be like a wet sponge, and the taste not to be much better.

I just bought some the other day, but haven't been tried it yet. Guess I'll have to make some paninis tomorrow.

I'm not crazy about it, and I don't think it melts so much as gets a bit softer.
Tastes okay on a Tofurkey Philly Cheesesteak sammich.

I thought it tastes like cottage cheese...but other than that, it's a good substitute :)

Everyone seems to love it. I found it nasty. The mozzarella was better then the cheddar though.

I think dirt has to taste better than the cheddar. I have not tried the mozarella yet. I must admit I am a little afraid after my cheddar experience.

Does anyone else get nauseous after eating the fake cheeses, mainly after melting it? I'm getting this with ALL the cheese brands now: tofutti, vegan gourmet, sheese...

I was at the whole foods flavorfest, and Follow your heart had a stand there. They made pizza out of both the cheeses mixed together. What I found best was making a pizza bagel or english muffin and shredding it and toasting it lightly. I also added Pizza/Italian seasonings and it tasted much much better.
