I know, I saw an old thread with a handful of people on it, but the posts were really old.

Thanks. I find it hard to live healthy here thought. Wild oats is really my only option. at all. It's very frustrating.

I'm from Arkansas, closer to Fort Smith though. Whole Foods in LR, and a couple of stores in Fort Smith are my only options as well. But it helps me not to rely on processed foods as much.

I'm from central AR... It is hard to find things. Whole Foods and I order some things online. Nice to meet you all!

I'm not in Arkansas now, though I grew up in NWArk and was living there for over a year after I got back from college. In Fayetteville there was only ONF (Ozark Natural Foods), which was pretty good but could be expensive--which is much like Wild Oats and Whole Foods. There was also Cook's in Rogers which was more expensive.
Anyway, I think a lot of those stores are good places to ask around about vegetarian events or just meeting other vegetarians.

I might be back there if that's where I end up getting a job. Anyway, welcome all and good luck! AR in general is not the easiest place to be veg.

Hi, I'm currently living in TX, doing some research about AR, Conway in particular. Hendrix College seems to be veg friendly, what about the place in general? Also, can a person who doesn't drive survive there or is everything in Little Rock? Is there any kind of public transportation between the two places?

Thanks for any help.

Good evening! I'm from Central AR to (N. Little Rock). I get as much as I can at Kroger in their organic/healthy section and occasionally go to Whole Foods and Fresh Market.

I have a couple friends who went to Hendrix, they loved it.
