Good places to shop for food

I live in Spencer, NC (between Salisbury and Lexington). I really want to shop for good food. I know I can get some things at the Walmart in Salisbury and at a little shop in downtown Salisbury. However, I am looking for more variety. Any information about restaurants would be helpful as well.

I live in Charlotte but do you have either a Harris Teeter or a Lowes Foods near you? Both have decent selections.
